At the age of 19, she released her single here. It became a huge hit immediately that both critics and admirers praised the song. It ranked 19th in both the Billboard Hot 100 and the Canadian Hot 100. Even Rolling Stone named the hit one of the Best Songs of the year. This year she debuted her album Know It All with the third track Scars to Your Beautiful being among the five original tracks which peaked on the Billboard charts including those of the Canadian Albums Chart Billboard 200 as well as the Billboard Hot 100. This track was special as, due to the interview with Rap-Up that she held with many of her listeners were able to identify with her journey of learning to love themselves and doubting her. Cara's music is famous as a source of inspiration for kindness in self-love, and mental wellbeing. Her music is inspired by her own personal journey as she has struggled with mental health issues as well as insomnia. According to a Reuters interview she describes the album as being half turbulent and half mastered. The therapy she received was a great help in her growth and now she urges people to try it too. Alessia Cara was born to Italian parents on the 11th day of July 1996. Her parents gifted her with an instrument at barely the age of 10. It ignited her passion for music. As a teenager she began to cover songs she enjoyed on YouTube to prove to people her talent. She also was able to make the decision to pursue a career as a musician. One of her tracks, Sweater Weather, was what made her stand out. EP Entertainment gave her an opportunity to develop and compose her own music.
